- The stained glass images are from the friary church - St Bonaventure in the red cardinal's cope and John Duns Scotus with his Commentary on the Sentences.
- It is not certain who the designer(s) were nor who carried out the work.
- The church was consecrated and opened on the Feast of St Bonaventure on 14 July 1887.
- The 125th anniversary was celebrated in 2012. The bishop came on Visitation and a tree was planted to mark the anniversary.
