Br Ignatius Kelly, 1923 - 2017 Ignatius died in January 2017, aged 93. He was born in County Sligo and baptised Hugh. A member of the UK Custody of the Immaculate Conception, he was 71 years professed a Friar Minor, and 65 years a priest.
Br Desmond McGuire, 1921 - 2016 Desmond was 75 years professed a Friar Minor, having entered the Order at the age of 19. For ten years, from 1949 to 1959 he ministered in India and returned home having contracted dysentery.
Br Austin Kinsella, 1930 - 2015 Austin was born on 21st November 1930, to Richard and Jane (nee Walsh) Kinsella, in Dublin. He was baptised Joseph Damian, at the church of St Nicholas of Myra, Francis Street, Dublin, on 24th November 1930.
Br Robert Stewart, 1934 - 2015 Fr Robert Stewart, one of the founding fathers of our South African Province, left us for the eternal kingdom on Friday, 23 January 2015 at the age of 80. He would have been 60 years professed as a Franciscan friar in March, and 55 years ordained a priest in September.
Br John Forest Dougherty 1939 - 2015 John Forest was born on 11th September 1939, the son of Patrick and Catherine Doherty. He was baptised Patrick the following day at the Parish of Holy Cross, Ardoyne, Belfast, by a Passionist. Father Ambrose. Patrick was confirmed in the same church in 1948. He had a sister, Rita, and a brother, John.
Br Godfrey Tortolano, 1935 - 2015 Fr Godfrey Tortolano went home to his Father's house on Sunday, 1st February 2015. The reception of his remains took place in Duns Scotus Church, Glasgow, on Sunday 8th February 2015 at 7.30 p.m. and his Requiem was celebrated on the 9th February at 11.30 a.m. followed by interment at Dalbeith Cemetery.

Br Andrew Cloonan, 1917 - 2008 Father Andrew was intimately connected to the life of the Friars: born in a Franciscan parish and taught by the Friars, he entered Religious Life in 1935, age 18. He was professed a Franciscan for 72 years and 65 years a priest.
