Who can be a Franciscan friar?

A Candidate for our way of Life is:-
  1. Between 18 and 41 years of age
  2. A citizen or permanent resident of Great Britain/Ireland
  3. In good physical and mental health
  4. Open to learning and living a Franciscan Religious Life in the 21st Century
  5. Committed to living the Vows of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience
  6. Prayerful with a desire to mature in the Spiritual Life
  7. Seeking to live and serve in fraternal communities of Franciscan Friars 
  8. A practising and active Catholic for at least 2 years
  9. Single, unmarried, chaste, free of committed relationships
  10. Able to pursue study/training at tertiary level with support and help
