In this Jubilee Year of St Francis, 46 Friars gathered for the Provincial Chapter at Dromantine Retreat Centre, Newry, Ireland, from July 5th to 10th, to pray, discuss, plan for the future and elect a Provincial Minister, Vicar and Definitory.

Fr David Collins OFM was chosen as the Provincial Minister for the next six years. Born in Cork city in 1976, he joined the Friars Minor in 2007, celebrated his First Profession of Vows in 2009 and was ordained priest in May 2014. Since then he has ministered in Killarney, Galway, Ennis and Dublin.
