A New Publishing Venture in the UK

On the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, December 8th 2021, a new UK  based venture in Franciscan printing and publishing, Franciscan Publishing, was launched.

Since the closure of the International Franciscan Study Centre in Canterbury in 2017 a well-resourced venue for the purchase of Franciscan literature was lost. Now, a former postgraduate of the Study Centre, Dr Brenda Abbott, has initiated this new venture to fill the gap. Publications available to date include the late Fr Eric Doyle OFM’s recently discovered 1981 work: A Kiss for the Leper, on the spirituality of St Francis of Assisi, and Fr Séamus Mulholland OFM’s study on the Franciscan medieval theologian Blessed John Duns Scotus: A Gasp of Love: Duns Scotus Franciscan Theologian and Mystic.

We can look forward to the release of many more informative and exciting books from FranciscanPublishing.

  • Using the texts and writings of St Francis himself, Eric Doyle reveals insights into the meaning of his life and mission in world history.
